Who we are

Nitro Downloader is made by NitroHub Softwares, in Brazil. To reach us, write to [email protected].

The app

What stays on your device

To work, the app stores on the device itself:

• the download list, with the links you pasted and the progress of each one;
• your settings, such as the destination folder;
• the server and shared folder addresses you add, and the shared folder password, if you enter one.

None of this is sent to us. Uninstalling the app deletes this data. The files you downloaded stay in the folder where they were saved.

Who the app talks to

• The websites of the links you paste (for example Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, MediaFire and Pixeldrain). The download goes straight from your device to those websites, which receive your IP address as with any visit. Their use of that data follows each website's policy.
• Your computer or NAS, when you use Server mode or a shared folder on your network.
• Public cover art and information services (GitHub, Wikipedia and TheGamesDB), to show an image and description of downloaded files. The app sends only the file name.

The app does not use analytics, tracking or advertising tools. If the app ever shows ads, this page will be updated first, explaining what data the ad service uses.

Device permissions

• Internet and network state: to download.
• Notifications and foreground service: to keep downloading with the screen off and show progress.
• File access: to save downloads to the folder you choose. Optional.

This website

Hosting and security

The website is hosted on GitHub Pages and served through Cloudflare, which protects it against attacks and delivers pages faster. These services receive your IP address and technical browser data on each visit, like any website, and keep logs for a short time for security. Installation files are downloaded from the project's releases page on GitHub.

Google ads

This website shows Google AdSense ads to pay for the project's costs. About these ads:

• Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this website and other websites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. To opt out of other vendors' cookies, visit aboutads.info.
• Google explains how it uses this data in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the website asks for your consent before using advertising cookies, through a message from Google itself. You can change your choice at any time through the privacy link shown at the bottom of that message.

The website has no sign-up, no forms and no analytics of its own.

Donations

Donations are made directly on the platform you choose (Ko-fi, PayPal, Pix through your bank, or a cryptocurrency wallet). Your payment data stays with those platforms, under their own policies. We may receive your name, email and the message you leave, and we use them only to record and thank you for the donation. Cryptocurrency transactions are public on the blockchain.

Children

The app and the website are not directed at people under 18 and do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your rights

Under Brazil's LGPD and, in Europe, the GDPR, you can ask for access, correction or deletion of your data. The app keeps no data about you on our side: to delete what is on your device, clear the app data or uninstall it. For ad cookies, use the links above. For anything else, write to [email protected].

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes too.
